• ▢ 1 lb chicken breast defrosted
• ▢ ½ cup water *fine to use chicken stock instead
• ▢ 8 oz. cream cheese cubed
• ▢ 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
• ▢ 1 envelope dry ranch dressing mix
• ▢ cooked bacon topping
• ▢ fresh green onions topping
• ▢ egg noodles optional serve with

Instructions 

• Grease a slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
• Add chicken breasts to the bottom of the crockpot and pour in half a cup of chicken stock (or water).
• Top boneless skinless chicken with cubed cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Please note that any cheese that touches side of the crock pot will brown so try to keep on the chicken itself.
• Sprinkle ranch seasoning on chicken. 
• Cover crockpot and cook on low for 6 hours. 
• When cooking is complete, use two forks to shred the chicken and mix up the cheese.
• Serve "crack chicken" on top of cooked noodles or rice topped with bacon and green onions

TikTok Version variation

The original TikTok Crack chicken recipe added 1/2 cup water on top of chicken breasts. This may seem like a lot of moisture when the dish is done cooking but after the chicken is shredded and the ingredients are mixed at the end, it does mix in just fine. However, especially if using shredded chicken on a sandwich (instead of pasta or rice) it may be quite a bit of moisture so it’s fine to eliminate it or use less (like 1/4th).
