Heat up a some vegetable oil on the bottom of a sauce pan. You wont need too much, just drizzle a little.
To the sauce pan, add 2 cups of long grain rice, like basmati or jasmine. Cook rice in oil until rice starts to brown.
Once the rice begins to brown, add in jar of tomato sauce. Continue cooking over medium-heat, stirring constantly to prevent any sticking or burning.
Add in garlic powder, onion powder, chicken bouillon seasoning and cumin.
Add in 4 cups of chicken broth to rice. Cover the sauce pan with a lid and continue cooking on medium heat for about 25 minutes. You may need to stir rice a few times to prevent sticking and to ensure even cooking. After 25 minutes, turn heat off and let rice sit in pan with lid ON the pan for an additional 10 minutes to absorb left liquid and be fully tender.
